My 3 year old son is obsessed with fire trucks, and we got three of these as birthday presents at his fireman-themed birthday party. On the plus side, the pieces are very sturdy and the puzzle makes a nice gift (we’ve “re-gifted” our two extras). On the other hand, unlike other reviews here, I have to say that my son couldn’t be less interested in playing with this puzzle. He’d much rather play with his real trucks, or dress up like a fireman and use a jump-rope as a makeshift fire hose. Maybe when he gets a little older it will be of more interest.

I can always count on Melissa & Doug to keep my son happy and engaged. This floor puzzle is a huge hit with my son and he loves putting it together over and over again. Once together it is pretty impressive..it’s almost four feet long and does look just like a real fire truck,

My 3 1/2 yr old son absolutely loves the Melissa & Doug “Giant Fire Truck” floor puzzle. I’d also recommend the “Giant Farm Animals” puzzle. These puzzles keep him occupied and challenged and he jumps out of bed asking for them.

My 2yr old son received this puzzle as a gift and he loves to play with it almost daily. He needs help putting it together, but I love watching him discover ways to figure out where each piece goes. The wheels and hose pieces he has down pat already at 26mths. The puzzle is huge, which is another reason he loves it. We spend about 20 mins with this puzzle, talking about colors, parts of the truck, etc. He even loves the little dog. Great for any toddler into fire trucks. Pieces are well built, connect well, and hold up to toddler handling.
