I’m glad Mr. McGoohan kind of jokes around about the western episode. I HATED that episode!

RE-PS: That’s it?………..Haven’t you forgotten someone or something (whatever your perception dictates) of whose respects need to be paid to other than Mr. McGoohan in regards of this interview?

Actually, I dunno quite what you mean? ^^’ Sorry.

I hope Dougo13 will understand where I’m coming from when I say this on this comment page. I’ve felt that you, Empress DR and raoulhery were disrespectful to this man’s grave by bragging your mouths about that clone/making excuses for it, instigating petty arguments while everyone was mourning here. That’s why I were direct with them about their behavior. so everyone would get the idea of human compassion. I can’t speak for anybody else, but I came here to mourn, not argue.

To everyone who is listening, I apologize for countering this argument. I too should’ve replied this person by P-Messaging. I just wanted to address a fault, not a ruckus. I sorry for those who are mourning on this post. I am sorry Dougo13. Rosa, both of us should’ve replied privately instead of here. I take responsibility in my part. I am an individual, so I can say for myself that I do apologize Dougo13. There will be no more ruckus from me on this post.

Re-PS: The person of whom that I am referring to in regards to this interview is the interviewer himself:
Mr. Warner Troyer (1932-1991)
RIP, Mr. Troyer….I am so sorry for knowing too late of your passing….After all the contributions you’ve made for Canada’s environmental cause and The Prisoner Puzzle, I am so sorry that TVO has dismissed your name on their current website. A damn shame indeed. I’ll remember you with honor sir…That I promise you.

He has very eloquent fans!

I thought that the number 2 in that episode was one of the strongest of the series.

At least LOST never had a cowboy episode.

I had every episode of this series.

I can’t believe they used 6000 Rover balloons over 17 episodes! Some episodes never even had Rover in them. I think Rover as a surrealistic Magritte like balloon instead of a mechanical device created a much more menacing effect.

what great comments; I just came upon this video today. He was my father.

They were short of a story and it showed, but hay it was all great. The Prisoner now on AMC.

Great questions, who is this guy interviewing?

Wow. Have been a Prisoner fan since its first US run. Never knew of this interview. Wish he had left us some “secret notes” when he died, because I know he had to think on the theme as time passed.

Patrick McGoohan could have shot a pat ending for “The Prisoner” but how boring would that be? The genius of it was that each person could make up their own minds about what the symbolism means to them.

anybody else notice that blatantly american accent on Patricks part?

Well, Patrick WAS an American by birth and lived there for most of the last three or more decades of his life. His parents were Irish. I hear his accent here as a bit of a brogue with a very heavy American influence, but he was quite capable of sounding fully British when he wanted to.

there was (and is) just something about that show that makes it a joy to watch over and over. Mission: Impossible had the same type of appeal to me

It’s the late Warner Troyer, Canadian broadcaster.

Patrick McGoohan was your father? wow

warner troyer was your dad?

he was a great interviewer

This is amazing.
Normally Patrick was extremely private, but here he is so happy to talk.
A true gent, devoted husband, father and grandfather.
God Bless You Pat.

this is great it was never shown in england

Great interview, great man.
